Each hotel is evaluated against the regional lowest and highest benchmarks to clearly determine its place within the market. Since our methodology requires a large amount of authentic customer reviews, even top-quality but very exclusive hotels with fewer guests may receive lower scores or not be included—simply due to not meeting the minimum data threshold. This aspect is intentional and demonstrates our dedication to broad, measurable guest validation.

Ranking Index Scale (0 – 999):
The final Ranking Index assigns a score from 0 (lowest performance in the region) to 999 (best in class). A higher value indicates a stronger ranking by this methodology.

• Rating Stability Factor: Hotels with low variation in guest ratings are rewarded for consistent performance.
• Cross-Source Consistency: When ratings are stable across platforms, hotels receive an additional positive adjustment, reflecting reliable reputation.
• Regional Benchmarking: Each metric is rescaled based on the regional minimum and maximum, ensuring that scores reward genuine outperformance.

Weighting of Ranking Factors

By integrating solid regional benchmarks with detailed hotel analytics, this methodology establishes a clear 0-to-999 scale that recognizes high guest satisfaction, robust review volumes, and excellence within the market—while clearly explaining why some exclusive boutique hotels may not qualify if there is not enough data.
