Objective:
Our goal is to create an independent, evidence-based ranking of hotels in the Philippines region, using only guest feedback that has been statistically verified. Every hotel is compared to the regional minimum and maximum values to show its real position among competitors. Because our approach depends on a large amount of confirmed customer reviews, even outstanding but very exclusive hotels with few guests might get fewer points or not appear in the list simply because there isn’t enough data. This is a conscious decision and shows our focus on reliable and broad customer validation.

Ranking Index Scale (0 – 999):
Final scores on the Ranking Index range from 0 (lowest regional performance) to 999 (top of the region). The higher the score, the stronger the hotel’s position according to our methodology.

Key Methodological Components:

• Multi-Platform Rating Aggregation: Brings together and normalizes scores from all platforms to avoid bias from any single source.
• Sample-Size Confidence: Hotels with 100+ verified reviews are given more weight, while those with fewer reviews have less influence on the rankings.
• Rating Stability Factor: Hotels with consistent guest scores (low variation) get a positive adjustment in their rating.
• Cross-Source Consistency: Small differences between scores on different platforms are rewarded, showing a solid and trustworthy reputation.
• Regional Benchmarking: All scores are rescaled between the regional minimum and maximum before weighting, so rewards reflect true outperformance.

Weighting of Ranking Factors

This methodology combines regional benchmarks and hotel statistics to deliver a clear 0-to-999 scale. The ranking highlights hotels with strong guest satisfaction, enough reviews, and real competitive advantage, while also noting that some exclusive properties may not appear due to limited data.
